Creating Clever Celebrations

Knapp Winery is always looking for more party and event ideas-to make the winery a celebration destination at any time of the year. Here are some current celebrations:

Chili Cook-Off

This took place recently, says Venuti. "We  enlisted local fire departments to cook spicy chili dishes. People loved sampling different types of chili and seeing which wine goes best with each chili."

Knapp's chef, John McNabb, made his 10-pepper chili, she adds. (He likes to pair it with a Riesling for those who prefer white wine. For red wine lovers, she notes, the choice is the winery's Pasta Red Reserve, a blend of Sangiovese and Baco Noir.)

Barrels of Laughs

Giggles and grapes are on tap for the winery's springtime comedy night. Guests arrive at 5:30 to sip Knapp's wines and snack on a light buffet. The comedy show starts at 6:30 and is held in the winery's Barrel Room.
